TickScan (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the TickScan app (“App”).

1. Information We Collect

TickScan is designed to process scan data on-device.

We may process the following categories of data:

  • Camera and media data you provide (for example live camera input, photos, or videos you choose to analyze).

  • Diagnostics and usage metadata provided by Apple (such as crash logs, device type, and performance data), if you have enabled sharing analytics with app developers in your Apple settings.

  • In-app purchase status (free/premium entitlement) managed through Apple StoreKit.

We do not collect personal profile data such as your name, address, or phone number through the App.

2. How We Use Information

We use data only to:

  • Run tick detection features in the App.

  • Display detection results and scan limits in the App.

  • Maintain app stability, performance, and bug fixes (via diagnostics).

  • Manage premium feature access based on Apple purchase entitlements.

3. On-Device Processing

Tick detection is intended to run on your device.
We do not use your scan media to train models, and we do not sell your data.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your data.

Limited data may be processed by Apple as part of Apple platform services you use, for example:

  • App Store and StoreKit purchase handling.

  • Apple diagnostics/crash reporting (if enabled by you).

Such processing is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

5. Data Retention

  • Media you choose in the App is handled for analysis and display purposes.

  • App-related settings (such as scan counters, consent confirmation, and entitlement state) may be stored locally on your device.

  • If you delete the App, locally stored app data is removed, subject to iOS behavior and your backup settings.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed by the App.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal data (for example access, correction, deletion, or complaint rights).
